Team NNUH require an experience Network Architect to join our growing Digital Health team!

As Digital Health Network Architect you are expected to assist in our transformation journey away from traditional IT Services, towards our vision of delivering the future of digital care. You will achieve this by working with the Network Services Manager to develop the Trusts network infrastructure to deliver Digital Healths six strategic objectives; digitally empowered people, digitally enabled workforce, integration and collaboration, informatics, innovation and a digitally enabling infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Network Architect, with experience of designing and building data communication networks. Outgoing and a team player with bags of drive and enthusiasm, someone who understands the value of providing outstanding customer service. Able to work proactively under pressure to maintain and improve the integrity of the Trusts digital network infrastructure and to provide overall architectural ownership of the Trusts network, incorporating LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi. Experience within the Healthcare sphere is not essential; however, sound network and telecommunications (VoIP) experience is crucial.
As Network Architect you are responsible for technical aspects of all the Trusts network infrastructure programmes, working closely with the Network Services Manager, you are also required to provide technical consultancy for agreed digital projects. Were looking for an experienced Network Architect that can lead on the technical development and design of the Trusts network infrastructure, while producing the appropriate documentation e.g. design documents and business cases etc. We also like you to share your knowledge and experience in order to develop and mentor junior members of staff.
If youre looking for a challenge and would like to help us develop our network services even further, wed love to hear from you. We can promise you a varied, challenging and rewarding role as Network Architect. Twenty seven days annual leave, plus bank holidays, with an excellent pension scheme. While the role is based at the main hospital site you will be expected to travel to the Trusts other sites when required for work purposes, for which transport will be provided, so a full driving license is essential. We support homeworking too, and after a period of familiarisation, you will be able to work from home on days agreed with your manager. You are also expected to form part of the on-call rota which supports the Trusts services outside of normal office hours.
