Operations Manager - Tevva Motors have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager to be a part of our team. Using your skills, you will deliver game-changing, clean-truck technology. Delivering on climate change, improving air quality, reducing GHG, and particulate emissions and making a real and measurable difference.

We are based in Chelmsford and experiencing an exciting time of growth. Therefore, we are currently recruiting for an Operation Manager to be part of the success.

You will join a busy team focussed on developing and implement the manufacturing facilities needed working closely with other teams in the office for the smooth transition of electric trucks. The Operation Manager will have excellent organisational skills to be able to manage the day to day control of supply chains.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Liaise with engineering and procurement on System and Component specification
- Define manufacturing processes for prototype and low volume production
- Tracking operational budgets and spending
- Help Procurement and develop an appropriate supply chain
- Create operations budget reports
- Assist with Business Development on after sales and warranty strategy and delivery
- Plan Operational budgets
- Managing Facilities
- Product assembly
- Quality control on incoming and outgoing goods
- Dealing with aftersales including spares, services and warranty


The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

- Experience in a similar role
- Able to analyse bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements
- Experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with contract manufacturers and suppliers
- Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Able Working in a small multi -skills team
- Positive 'can do' attitude


As the successful Operation Manager you will be able to multi task and prioritise whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines. You will be computer literate including knowledge of or experience with engineering, procurement and operations.

This a full-time position working 40 hours per week with additional hours available. We are offering a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience. You will also receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (some days will have to be kept during the Christmas period due to office closures) and will be offered a pension scheme, health scheme and life insurance.
