SEN School on the Bexley borders is recruiting for a British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant for a temporary, full time position to commence after the Easter break for the rest of the academic year.

This school predominantly specialises in complex needs, ASD and SLD with some additional SEN difficulties. Located on the Bexley borders this school has great transport links and free on-site parking. Approachable and dedicated staff who are supportive of students needs and their peers. Currently recruiting for a full time temporary British Sign Language (BSL) TA to work on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups. This role is to start after the Easter break! The successful BSL TA must have competency of at least BSL Level 2 to be considered for this post. The school is looking for a British Sign Language Teaching Assistant who is able to build a strong rapport with your pupil. This particular vacancy is open to both experienced BSL TAs and graduates who are keen to with Special Needs pupils, particularly with pupils with a hearing impairment.

To be short listed for this position;

* British Sign Language certificate Level 2

* Competent & Confident in using British Sign Language

* Already a BSL Teaching Assistant or a BSL Graduate

* You can convey BSL from a hearing impaired pupil to someone who is unable to sign

* Able to build a strong rapport with pupils, teachers & parents.

* Preferably experience working with Primary or Secondary Students with a hearing impairment

* In date Enhanced DBS with the update service

* Adaptable, flexible and enthusiastic individual

* Available Immediately
