Based in Cambridgeshire and **Winners of Hunts post Employer of the Year 2018** , Education Personnel Management (EPM) is looking to appoint career-driven, enthusiastic, target focused individual to join their sales team. This is a perfect opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career with a successful company.

We are seeking to appoint a Business Development Consultant to be at the heart of helping us shape the newly formed Sales & Marketing Team. Responsible for ensuring we diligently track, respond and close every single new business opportunity, no matter the conclusion. This will be a varied role where you will get to develop new skills working closely with the Sales & Marketing Director and support the wider Sales & Marketing Team to convert all new business opportunities. As travel is essential, you will be required to provide your own transport for business use.

About the role

This is a consultative role where you will liaise with a diverse selection of customers and prospects in the education sector. You will have well-developed sales skills, ability to think on your feet and be flexible in your approach. You will have the professionalism and personality to influence key stakeholders.

You are simply brilliant at providing solutions to customers or prospects. You can rapidly build great relationships and provide practical solutions to their challenges in a consultative and highly intelligent manner. You will know how to present services and solutions and be able to adapt and vary your approach to suit your audience.

A team player with impeccable communications skills, you will appreciate that success in this sector can be tainted with the wrong approach, so you will need a lot of patience, a developed understanding of the sector, the prospect landscape and the products and services we deliver. You will have a huge amount of determination and focus, as well as being highly organised. You may well have picked up these skills in an account management, sales, or similar client interactive role, most likely in a business to business consultative sales environment.
