Quantity Surveyor - Required for Large Leading Carpentry Fit Out Contractor Ruislip

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the U.Ks leading High End Carpentry & Joinery Contractors.

About the Client: SSA is recruiting on behalf of a Construction company specialising in Carpentry & Joinery, working on behalf of major Contractors and Developers. The company have an extensive workload across London and the Home Counties and currently running 10-15projects.

The company is involved in Residential and Commercial projects prodomenatly and is now looking at recruiting the following member of staff to the head office.

They are now seeking to recruit a QS who is ideally capable of managing a number of projects, ideally who comes from a carpentry and joinery background either with a subcontractor or in a similar role or with a main contractor where you have gained exposure to carpentry & joinery packages.

You will be responsible for cash management, by minimising cost and maximising value through proactive analysis and facilitation of works packages and the building process to maximise the profitability of the business. Contain, control and accurately report past costs and future financial projections. Adhere and engage with Quality Management system (ISO9001) and other company procedures as appropriate.

Some of the Requirements;

* Have a knowledge and understanding of compliance with Health and Safety legislation, policies, safety plans, risk assessments and method statements.

Attend and actively participate in design meetings, ensuring actions are cleared in accordance with agreed timescales

Attend and actively participate in client meetings, ensuring actions are cleared in accordance with agreed timescales

Produce buying analysis and obtain day work rates for approval by the Regional Director/Commercial Manager, prior to order being placed

*

Produce contract sum analysis and cash flow ensuring a positive cash flow is maintained for the project

*

Prepare, agree and issue valuations in a timely fashion, to maximise cash position, including pursuit of timely payments

*

Maintain sub-contractor valuations and payments in line within the subcontract conditions and The Company protocol

*

Produce buying analysis and obtain day work rates for approval by the Regional Director/Commercial Manager, prior to order being placed

*

Produce and issue accurate and timely CVCs ensuring these are reviewed with the production team, for Commercial manager/Regional Director approval
