Do you want a rewarding career working with an exceptional staff team, wonderful children aged 4-6 years and highly engaged families?

If the answer is yes, then we would love to hear from you!

The aim of our after-school club is to provide a safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment for our children, ensuring that their time spent after school is educational, playful, relaxing and fun. We seek a warm and welcoming Play Worker, who can offer the best care for our children within a home from home setting.

This role requires you to work as part of a team to ensure outstanding after-school provision, initially for Reception and Year 1 children. As this new school grows, we will eventually accommodate children up to age 11.

Good communication skills are imperative, this involves listening, understanding and responding to what is being communicated by children. A good knowledge of child development is essential to ensure that all Reception and Year 1 childrens individual needs are fully met.

You will be responsible for jointly planning and running the activities in the club to create and develop a stimulating environment in order to provide a high level of quality care whilst maintaining a professional and positive outcome for our children. This involves working closely with COLPAI colleagues and implementing agreed school policies and rituals in order to complement school provision. Close partnership working with parents is vital to ensure the childrens needs are fully met.

City of London Primary Academy Islington is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and follows rigorous safe recruitment practices. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
