Horizon Search & Selection are currently seeking a competent Admin Support person for a brilliant company based in Mildenhall. This is a full time, permanent position and an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business.

 

Working as part of a friendly and professional team this role will play an important role within the day to day operations. The purpose of this role is to provide efficient support to a number of functions within the business. These will include primarily purchasing duties but also credit control as well as general admin support for the General Manager as other areas within the business as required.

 

This busy and interesting role comes with the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Purchasing of all indirect and direct materials
  • To ensure the on-time delivery of all direct materials in line with the Master Production Schedule and Production Plan in conjunction with the Production Manager
  • Maintenance of data to ensure accurate stock accounting and levels set by the Production Manager
  • Generates and implements purchasing policies in line with company objectives
  • Checking invoices against purchases for accuracy/ correctness and resolve any differences immediately as they arise
  • Control the level of indirect material purchases as set out in the budget
  • Making sure all suppliers adhere to company quality standards
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all suppliers and relevant departments

 

The purchasing element will be the main priority within this role. However, as you grow and develop with the company an element of this position will include supporting other departments such as purchase ledger, credit control and general admin support duties for other areas of the business as required.

 

For this many and varied role, we are seeking someone who is happy to work in a multi tasked role within a friendly office environment

 

The following skills and attributes are required:

  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills and in possession of excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience within either a purchasing/ or purchasing support role would be highly desirable
  • Experience within working in a manufacturing company would be extremely beneficial
  • Some experience with credit control
  • A strong understanding of MS office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • A collaborative team player who can quickly integrate within a close team
  • Able to work on your own initiative and manage own workload
  • The ability to respond quickly and efficiently to situations requiring urgent action
  • A willingness to learn new skills and demonstrate a desire to succeed in a new role
  • Be able to reprioritise as required by the business
