Sales and Marketing Assistant

Halesworth

Salary starting at £18,000 basic depending on experience

Sales and Marketing Assistant At Hillfarm Oils, we were the first farm in the UK to grow, press and bottle our own cold pressed rapeseed oil. Our family have farmed in Heveningham, near Halesworth, Suffolk since 1967 and we are looking to recruit a Sales and Marketing Assistant to join our proud family-run business. 

We pride ourselves on sustainably producing a delicious premium extra virgin oil from British rapeseed grown on our farm, along with a mayonnaise, honey and cosmetics range. The ideal Sales and Marketing Assistant will build relationships with our existing independent customers, whilst growing sales from the website and managing PR activities and our events / trade show diary.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contact clients monthly by phone to discuss their sales and needs
  • Offer support with marketing and promotions for clients who sell our products
  • Pack and despatch orders
  • Create marketing and promotion activities aimed at website customers
  • Organise the Hillfarm Oils events diary book stands at trade / consumer shows, source labour for shows, attend shows if required, analyse success from each show and return on investment
  • Increase activity on social media in a targeted way
  • Create and distribute the Hillfarm newsletter
  • Provide support for various PR tasks such as visits, talks, etc
  • Continue to build our database
  • Use analytical tools to track sales, website traffic, etc
  • Assist with general office duties when required
  • Contribute to New Product Development and identifying gaps in the market

Skills and attributes required:

  • Experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages
  • Confident and friendly telephone manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This is a full-time role; however flexible working hours will be considered for our ideal candidate. Our standard office hours are 8:30am to 5pm with a 30 minutes lunch break, we also offer free parking on site. In return we are offering a starting salary of £18,000 basic depending on experience.
