School Coordinator/Personal Assistant to Head of School (0.51fte)

Ref: SC3484

 

£22,017 - £25,482 per annum, pro rata

 

As part of the School support team, you will provide an efficient, high quality and proactive administrative service to the School of International Development and to the Head of School.  This is a broad and varied role supporting the academic management of the School, including Personal Assistant support to the Head of School and line management of the Support team.

 

The post holder will be required to foster and maintain beneficial relationships within the School, within the University and with external organisations, businesses and professional bodies and handle both professional and business information that is of a sensitive and/or confidential nature.

 

We are seeking an experienced individual to work with us in this stimulating and diverse role. You must be highly organised, conscientious and able to deal with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

 

You must be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with experience in a similar role, ideally in a higher education environment. Good management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines are essential, along with excellent written communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills. The ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues with tact and discretion is also essential.

 

This post is available on an indefinite, part-time (0.51fte), job share basis from 18 February 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. The working pattern for this post is Monday 09:00 17:00, Thursday 12:45 17:00 (including handover), Friday 09:00 17:00
