Hautbois Activity Centre Operations and Administrative Assistant 1-year fixed term maternity cover

Working Hours: The normal full-time working week is thirty-five (35) hours per week and a standard working day between 09.00-5.00.  Regular weekend working and some evenings when necessary, for which time off in lieu will be given.

Salary: Band 2 £14,613 to £15,817 per annum (subject to review)
Salary band review pending

Duration: 1-year fixed term maternity cover

Hautbois Activity Centre is looking for an Operations and Administrative Assistant to work closely with the Centre Manager and team to ensure the smooth running of the estate during the current post-holders maternity leave.

We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic and positive outlook who can bring to the role a variety of skills and experience across the key areas shown in the job description, including the ability to work on their own as well as part of the team and to deliver quality low level activity sessions as back-up to the activities team (full training will be given).

Owned by Girlguiding Anglia, Hautbois Activity Centre offers a wide range of outdoor activities and residential opportunities. Our customer base includes Guiding and Scouting, youth groups, schools and colleges, as well as corporate and private event bookings. We aim to provide excellent customer service, tailored to individual needs.

The Operations and Administrative Assistant will:-

Deliver high quality administrative and operational support that ensures the smooth operation of Hautbois Activity Centre.

Be part of the team providing the main contact with the Centre during the booking process, before, during and after the visit, deputising for the management team where necessary.

Be part of the team providing duty cover for evenings and weekends, ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained and making on the spot decisions to ensure visitors receive an excellent experience.

Deliver quality low level activity sessions as back-up to the activities team (full training will be given). Please see job description for accountabilities and deliverables.

Relevant experience in a similar environment is desirable.

The successful candidate will have good organisational and time management skills and will be able to communicate effectively. The role requires flexibility and adaptability and a commitment to undertake job-specific training as required.
