Supervise all workshop personnel, identifying any potential training needs, supporting with PDR requirements and ensuring the skills matrix is utilised
Progress the work daily from the material arriving to final inspection and dispatch.
Prioritise and detail work to the shopfloor personnel to achieve the customers required date
Liaise with other departments when required to ensure work is progressed on time and to the highest quality highlighting any issues to the relevant personnel
Reporting any cost of quality issues to the quality department
Carry out shopfloor audits to ensure compliance to the regulatory standards

City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in fabrication and welding
Fork truck license
Experienced supervisor, with track record managing teams
Experience of an engineering manufacturing environment
Crane, abrasive wheel, manual handling or gas safety training
Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) qualified)
