Full Job Description

  • The Urology Oncology Metastatic CNS will work effectively as an autonomous practitioner and as a core member of the multidisciplinary team to provide the highest possible standards of care for patients with metastatic urological cancer.
  • Will run or be trained to run Nurse Led clinics including hormone therapy clinics for metastatic patients
  • Will perform electronic holistic needs assessments for the metastatic patients within the Uro/Oncology service
  • Will work closely with the Medical Oncology & Oncology Consultants.
  • Will develop the Uro/Oncology metastatic CNS service
  • Will help provide cover for the Uro/Oncology CNS service as required

    We are looking for a dedicated and passionate nurse who has been working within the Uro/Oncology CNS service as a Band 6 or has worked on an Oncology ward as a Band 6 for at least 1 year.
  • You will need to be able to demonstrate an expert level of skill and knowledge of the Uro/Oncology metastatic service This post requires a nurse who is not only an autonomous practitioner but can also work well within a team environment. You are expected to cover cross sites- (SGH and Queen Mary's Roehampton). If you are reliable, hardworking, flexible and self-motivated with excellent communication skills, then this position could well be for you.
