Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and dynamic Traum and Orthopaedics team treating a large number of trauma and elective patients annually. We run daily trauma lists and the successful candidate will be part of a rota including regular trauma among other duties. Our team encourage professional development with a proven track record of successful conversion of ST1/2 posts to training placements., This post will allow candidates to get a breadth of knowledge and experience across all orthopaedic specialities. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the orthopaedic on-call rota with an active role as part of the trauma team.
The main duties of the post will involve seeing, diagnosing, and treating Trauma & Orthopaedics patients, referring to other clinicians or general practitioners where appropriate. You will be expected to work closely with appropriate nursing, professional, technical, and administrative and support staff.
With a new hospital planned for Watford, work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital and plans for a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead, this is an exciting time to join us.
