Trust Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (ST3+ Equivalent)

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, forward thinking Trust Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (middle grade) with an interest in advanced Antenatal care/maternal medicine. The post will be based at Worthing Hospital., The primary responsibility of the post holder is to provide support in general and specialised Antenatal clinics, with a potential to expand skills in Obstetric Ultrasound scanning and pre-term birth clinics. In addition, the candidate will be expected to provide daytime middle grade rota (Gynaecology clinics/ theatres / urgent clinics) cover from time to time.

The successful candidate will have on-call commitments working one night shift a week and weekend days on call as per the middle grade rolling rota.

The post holder is expected to:

1. Provide High Quality Care to Patients

2. Adhere to the standards outlined by the GMC for Good Medical Practice

3. Develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties required of the post

4. Ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care activities

5. Ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care and to respond to their views
