Summary
Working Hours: Part-time minimum 4 hrs per month, variable hours.
Loughborough Town Hall is a multi-purpose receiving house theatre, Art gallery and venue, set in the heart of Charnwood in Leicestershire and welcoming over 100,000 people per year.
Hosting over 250 performances and events per year, including an award-winning annual pantomime, Loughborough Town Hall has a varied programme attracting nationally acclaimed acts and productions across the world of comedy, drama, musical theatre, and beyond.
Loughborough Town Hall was also honoured to receive the Best Entertainment Venue as part of the Leicestershire Tourism Awards 2023.
Working as part of the Technical team, you will be the welcoming face of Loughborough Town Hall for our Touring shows and users, ensuring they receive excellent customer service throughout their visit.
On any given day, you could be rigging lighting and sound equipment, building scenery or working to maintain the stage and theatre space.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in technical theatre although full training will still be provided.
Due to this role requiring the use of power tools and working at heights, all candidates will need to be over the age of 18 years old as of 30th June 2026.
You will need a friendly and approachable manner and excellent communication skills. Working as part of an enthusiastic an industrious team, you will have good problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a busy and bustling environment.
The nature of the work will require flexibility across a busy programme of shows and events, involving evening and weekend working.
