Therapy Assistant Practitioner (TAP)

As the post holder, you will: work with minimal supervision to undertake a variety of clinical tasks to support the delivery of therapy to patients. have delegated responsibility for a specified clinical area and assess, prioritise and manage own caseload of patients, determine problems and treatment indicated and maintain comprehensive records. Work with minimal direction, undertaking a variety of non-clinical tasks to support the Therapy service. To be delegated training responsibilities to other staff groups. have a shared responsibility for departmental tasks to ensure the effective running of the Therapy Service. Following training the post holder is to assist in the management/treatment of patients in the Trust under the instruction of the Therapists as appropriate. To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence. We deliver services from 8:00 - 20:00 and the postholder must be flexible to work early, late and long day shifts. Post holder will be required to commit to 7 day working pattern. A roster is in place for weekend and bank holiday shifts.

As a result our team is growing and we are seeking a Senior Therapy Assistant / Assistant Practitioner with experience of musculoskeletal conditions and/managing patients after orthopaedic surgery, to join our acute inpatient Trauma and Orthopaedic team. Hours of work: your weekday pattern will include long days (08:00-20:00), early (starting at 08:00) and late (ending at 20:00) shifts and we will require your ability to be flexible to meet service needs. You will fulfill 7-day working requirements through our Orthopaedic weekend rosters + bank holiday roster.
