We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Team Manager, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration., We are seeking an experienced and qualified Team Manager to lead a Family Help team, providing management oversight, supervision, and support to Consultant Social Workers, Social Workers, and Outreach Family Support Workers. The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality social work practice, improving outcomes for children and young people, and promoting a positive, safe, and effective working environment. Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct line management to Consultant Social Workers, Social Workers, and Outreach Family Support Workers.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-focused social work practice across the team.
  • Oversee case management, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
  • Provide regular supervision, guidance, and management oversight to staff and supervisors.
  • Support Consultant Social Workers in carrying out their supervisory and leadership responsibilities.

    Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with the relevant Social Work regulatory body.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Essentials:
  • Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care or Family Help Services.
  • Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or managing Social Work staff.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and best practice.
  • Experience managing complex cases and providing professional oversight.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing performance, attendance, and staff wellbeing.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
