This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing and who enjoys working as part of a collaborative school community.

The Role - under the direction of the class teacher, you will:

+ Support learning activities for individuals and small groups of pupils
+ Help monitor pupil progress and contribute to individual targets
+ Build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils to promote progress and attainment
+ Support pupils' personal, social and emotional development
+ Assist with classroom organisation, resources and administrative tasks
+ Support positive behaviour and inclusion strategies
+ Provide short-term class cover when required
+ Work closely with teachers, parents/carers and other professionals
We are looking for someone who:

+ Willing to undertake training in areas such as First Aid and safeguarding.

Essential Experience

+ Experience of teaching pupils with a range of SEND within a primary or special school setting
+ Working knowledge of assessment procedures and ability to analyse and utilise data to support progress to raise achievement
+ Excellent ICT skills
+ Experience of leading a subject, long term project or initiative
+ Experience of multi-disciplinary working
+ Experience and confidence in managing pupils whose behaviour can be challenging

Desirable Experience

+ Team Teach intermediate trained., + NVQ Level 2 or above qualification - appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
+ English/Literacy
+ Maths/Numeracy

Essential Experience

+ Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age

Desirable Experience

+ Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
+ Experience of administrative work
+ Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, + Relevant Child Care Qualification (or equivalent)
