About this Role
We are expanding our team and looking to appoint multiple permanent Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs). In these roles, you will support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to help them achieve their full potential.
The Roles Available:
- General Classroom Support: Working in class with small groups and one-to-one across a range of subjects and age groups.
- ADT Support: The successful candidate for this role will specifically focus on supporting students within our Art, Design, and Technology (ADT) department—ideal for someone with a practical, creative, or hands-on background.
- HLTA Opportunities: Candidates undertaking the HLTA role will take on additional responsibilities commensurate with their qualifications, skills, and experience.
Applicants need to be cheerful, adaptable, patient and ready to support students with a range of needs. Previous experience of working with young people is preferable but not essential as induction, training and support will be provided. Hours are 30 per week, 8.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., term time only. This position is suitable for someone who is just starting out on their career in education, looking to gain experience before undertaking teacher training or maybe an experienced Teaching Assistant/HLTA looking for a new opportunity. Example actual salary for 30 hrs per week, term time only: £17,305 - £20,521 per annum, including fringe.
We were delighted to be awarded a 'Good' rating by Ofsted in March 2023, this recognises the hard work and progress made by all in the school. Prospective candidates are encouraged to read the full report available on our website at the following text (note: links are not included): Stanborough School Ofsted Report.
