Teaching Assistant

Following a restructure last year to bring our cleaning services back in-house, we have a vacancy for a part time cleaner. We strive to create an excellent environment for our students and staff to work in, and this role is important in ensuring the school is at its best at the start of each school day. By recruiting our own cleaner into our in-house site team, we are looking for the successful candidate to become an established member of our school community, forging excellent working relationships with all staff. The successful candidate is expected:

• To undertake specific daily, weekly and periodic tasks in their designated area.
• To undertake ad hoc tasks that are not specifically covered within their rota but require attention in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Make themselves available to support the team by working ad hoc overtime when required.
• Schedule their tasks to be considerate to the staff and students on site at during the school day and evening lettings customers.
  
  Experience of cleaning, ideally in a school setting.
• Understanding of the Health & Safety requirements pertinent to the role.
• Positive work ethic that contributes to the culture of the school.

The post holder is responsible for promoting and supporting a culture of vigilance with regard to safeguarding the welfare of the children, young people and vulnerable adults for whom she/he is responsible or comes into contact with.
  
  Band B: £12.85 per hour (reviewed each April to reflect the NJC pay award)
Hours: 3.30pm to 8.30pm daily Permanent contract 25 hours per week, term-time plus August and Easter deep cleans (42 weeks). Opportunity of overtime for cover, school holidays, evenings and weekends.,
