Outwood Academy Hindley is seeking to appoint a dynamic, effective, and inspirational Religious Studies Teacher to join our thriving Humanities department. The successful candidate will, ideally, hold a degree in Religious Studies or a related subject and will be committed to maintaining high expectations for all students while contributing to both their academic success and personal well-being. We are looking to appoint a teacher who is passionate about their subject and who can teach engaging, thought-provoking and inclusive RS lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will play a key role in promoting critical thinking, respect for diverse beliefs, and a deep understanding of ethical and philosophical issues. There is also the potential to support the development of our wider Personal Development and Growth curriculum, which encompasses careers education, SMSC, development and appreciation of British Values, and RSHE. Both experienced teachers and early career teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply. Teaching will mainly involve KS3 RS and GCSE AQA Religious Studies. Our department has strong links with the local community and church, supporting projects including food collections for the local pantry, a school hygiene bank, Christmas hampers for elderly residents, and weekly revision sessions.
