Full Job Description
We require a well-qualified, talented and energetic teacher of Modern Languages from 2 November 2026, for a period of maternity cover, to teach to GCSE and A level in this very successful department.
The person appointed will be able to teach French to A level and potentially Spanish to GCSE. This will be a full-time role, with scope for a more leading role on French in particular, depending on the applicant.
ECTs, recent graduates or experienced teachers are equally welcome to apply.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- enthusiasm and excellent subject knowledge,
- the ability to stimulate students' curiosity, interest and enjoyment,
- a willingness to work as part of a team, promoting the work of the department and contributing to its smooth running and development,
- a commitment to ongoing CPD and reflective practice
- a strong commitment to the extra-curricular work of the department e.g. trips.
