Full Job Description

We are seeking an inspiring teacher to join our dedicated team, delivering high-quality learning experiences to individual students and small groups. You'll teach up to GCSE level in a core subject and play a key role in shaping personalised learning pathways that help our students grow academically, socially and emotionally. This is a role where your influence goes far beyond the classroom. You'll be part of a multi-professional team committed to nurturing confidence, independence and self-belief in young people who may have experienced significant barriers to learning. Please note: this role will be covering both our Parkside House School site's based in Ashington NE63 8AP and Backworth NE27 0AB. What You'll Do

  • Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons (including GCSE in a core subject) for individuals and small groups
  • Creating and reviewing Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Plans and tailored learning programmes
  • Supporting nurture-based approaches and helping students develop emotional regulation and self-control
  • Monitoring, recording and reporting on progress, ensuring high-quality assessment and subject development
  • Working collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and the wider multi-professional team
  • Ensuring a safe, stimulating and well-organised learning environment both on and off site

    QTS or equivalent qualification required
  • Required to teach a variety of subjects, one core subject at GCSE level.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, student-centred approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Resilience, creativity and a commitment to continuous professional development
  • A passion for helping students overcome barriers and achieve meaningful progress
  • Driving licence required
