Full Job Description
We are seeking an inspiring teacher to join our dedicated team, delivering high-quality learning experiences to individual students and small groups. You'll teach up to GCSE level in a core subject and play a key role in shaping personalised learning pathways that help our students grow academically, socially and emotionally. This is a role where your influence goes far beyond the classroom. You'll be part of a multi-professional team committed to nurturing confidence, independence and self-belief in young people who may have experienced significant barriers to learning. Please note: this role will be covering both our Parkside House School site's based in Ashington NE63 8AP and Backworth NE27 0AB. What You'll Do
- Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons (including GCSE in a core subject) for individuals and small groups
- Creating and reviewing Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Plans and tailored learning programmes
- Supporting nurture-based approaches and helping students develop emotional regulation and self-control
- Monitoring, recording and reporting on progress, ensuring high-quality assessment and subject development
- Working collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and the wider multi-professional team
- Ensuring a safe, stimulating and well-organised learning environment both on and off site
QTS or equivalent qualification required - Will be required to cover a variety of subjects, must be able to teach one of the core subjects at GCSE level.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, student-centred approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Resilience, creativity and a commitment to continuous professional development
- A passion for helping students overcome barriers and achieve meaningful progress
- Driving licence required
