  • About the Client/Child: Anna is an outgoing, witty and fun-loving 18-year-old living in Surrey. She attends residential school during the week and enjoys relaxing and socialising at weekends. Anna loves music, concerts, festivals, West End shows, and is a huge fan of Taylor Swift-having even seen her live at the O2. She also enjoys Disney films (especially Snow White), dining out, and trips such as Disneyland Paris. Anna has Cerebral Palsy and learning disabilities, uses an electric wheelchair, and requires support with personal care and moving/handling. She communicates verbally (with some adjustment time) and may use an AAC device in certain settings. She can experience anxiety, so a calm, patient and relationship-led approach is essential. The Role at a Glance: You will support Anna during her weekends at home, assisting with routines, personal care and encouraging her independence. Friday evenings are relaxed, with support needed for bedtime (usually 9:00-10:00 pm). Anna typically sleeps well through the night, with the support worker nearby if needed. Saturdays involve getting up, planning enjoyable activities and heading out for social outings, meals, or events. Pay structure includes weekday rates until late evening, a sleeping night rate overnight, and a higher weekend rate from Saturday morning onwards. This Job Would Suit: An energetic, fun and proactive female Support Worker with a genuine passion for working with young people. Someone who shares similar interests (music, events, social outings) and can confidently drive a WAV. Ideal for someone seeking part-time work alongside studies. Why You'll Love This Role: Anna is at the heart of this role-she's engaging, funny and a joy to spend time with. You'll be part of a supportive family environment with ongoing training and supervision, while making a real difference in her life.
