Full Job Description
To provide and manage a materials management replenishment service for medical and other consumables used within Torbay Hospital.
Ensure that all stocks are managed appropriately and cost effectively, whilst meeting the needs of the end user.
Health Careers |, + Assist the Logistics Manager to implement and improve working methodologies and procedures in order to maintain service delivery.
+ Maintain a programme of stock checks, valuations and stock level authorisations with Ward managers.
+ Engage with DHoP and other Procurement staff.
+ To maintain good working relationships with colleagues, staff and delivery drivers.
+ Be responsible for one's own personal Health and Safety, as the post involves manual handling of possibly heavy items.
+ Chase outstanding orders with suppliers including NHS Supply Chain.
+ To provide back up for other staff in the event of sickness and annual leave as requested, including cover for Logistics Supply Chain Assistants in emergencies.
+ To assist with stock take as directed by Logistics Manager/Supervisors.
+ Undertake any duties commensurate with position, and as directed by Logistics Supervisor/Logistics Manager.
+ Gain knowledge and understanding of Genesis, Inventory Management System, to book stock orders, receipt and transfer products, carry out stock enquires and stock take.
