Join a Forward-Thinking and Supportive College Community St Andrews College is seeking an organised, professional, and student-focused Student Services & Attendance Officer to join our welcoming and ambitious team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of college life, combining student services, attendance monitoring, admissions administration, and front-of-house responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative operations while supporting students, staff, parents, guardians, and visitors with professionalism and care. About the Role As the Student Services & Attendance Officer, you will be the first point of contact for many visitors, students, and families, providing a welcoming and professional front-of-house service while supporting key operational and compliance functions across the college. You will work closely with senior leaders, academic and pastoral teams, admissions staff, guardians, and external agencies to maintain accurate student records, monitor attendance, coordinate student logistics, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and UKVI requirements. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within education administration in an international college environment. Key Responsibilities
- Student Attendance & Welfare
- Monitor and record daily student attendance using iSAMS and other college systems
- Follow up on unexplained absences and attendance concerns
- Communicate with parents, guardians, and staff regarding attendance matters
- Support interventions to improve student attendance and punctuality
- Produce attendance reports for senior leadership teams
- Reception & Frontline Services
- Act as the first point of contact for students, parents, visitors, contractors, and staff
- Manage the reception area in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to email enquiries
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed for all visitors, including signing in and issuing visitor badges Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate student and college records using systems such as iSAMS and Salesforce
- Carry out general office administration including filing, scanning, photocopying, and record keeping
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Support the academic and pastoral teams with administrative tasks and documentation Admissions Administration
- Respond to admissions enquiries and emails
- Process applications from enquiry stage through to offer and deposit
- Raise registration fee and deposit invoices
- Send assessment links, examination results, and offer documentation
- Prepare residential confirmation and visa support letters
- Maintain accurate admissions records on iSAMS and Salesforce
- Liaise with agents and families to request and chase references and supporting documents
- Coordinate student visits and admissions-related appointments
- Guardianship, Travel & Student Logistics
- Liaise with guardians, guardianship agencies, parents, and host families
- Coordinate travel arrangements and maintain accurate travel records
- Ensure all accommodation and welfare arrangements meet safeguarding expectations Compliance, Safeguarding & Confidentiality
- Support compliance with UKVI regulations for international students
- Maintain accurate visa and student documentation
- Uphold safeguarding, GDPR, and confidentiality procedures at all times

- Previous experience in a school, college, or office administration role
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, professional, and approachable manner
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience using school management systems such as iSAMS and Salesforce (desirable)
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
