Student Placement (Social Value & Communications)

Main Responsibilities
• Bring a strong interest in social value, social impact, sustainability or corporate responsibility
• Understand how communications and PR help promote an organisation's values and achievements
• Use a range of communication channels - including websites, social media, newsletters and marketing materials
• Combine data, evidence and storytelling to help demonstrate meaningful impact
• Work confidently with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Apply basic design principles and use tools such as Canva, Adobe InDesign or Illustrator to support visual content
  
  Writes clearly, confidently and can adapt tone for different audience
• Organises and presents information in a structured, visually engaging way
• Creates simple, eye-catching visual content (infographics, posters, social media graphics) using templates and guidance
• Enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across teams

The Social Value and Communications Placement Student will support the organisation in capturing, reporting and communicating the social value it creates through the delivery of support services across the UK Defence Training Estate. The role will involve helping to gather evidence of social impact, contribute to social value reporting and translate data and achievements into clear, engaging communications for internal and external audiences Working closely with colleagues across the business, the placement student will support a range of communications and PR activity, with a particular focus on showcasing social value achievements through reports, case studies, digital content and communication materials. This role offers hands on experience in social impact reporting, corporate communications and purpose-led story-telling., Landmarc provides the support services that enable Armed Forces from around the world to prepare for frontline military operations across the UK Defence Training Estate (DTE). This includes maintaining and delivering safe and sustainable infrastructure, managing and operating training areas and ranges and delivering multi-million pound projects to improve vital training assets. We are the first and only Special Purpose Vehicle to be contracted by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) as their Industry Partner on the UK Defence Training Estate and the only company that is solely dedicated to the UK DTE, delivering essential support services since 2003.
