Structures Assistant Engineer

You will be responsible for providing assistance in a wide range of services within the Structures Design Team. Assisting in the preparation and delivery of cost-effective structural designs including bridges, ensuring compliance with current legislation and standards to internal / external clients and partners within appropriate timescales and budgets. Assisting in carrying out condition surveys, produce detailed technical reports and detailed structural / civil engineering designs

• HNC or equivalent in a relevant civil engineering or design related discipline
• Experience in the design and maintenance of bridges and highways structures in accordance with the relevant standards
• Experience of computerised design / CAD software packages
• Demonstrable experience of highway structure inspections and reporting at all levels.
• Experience of applying sound engineering principles to practical solutions

If successful, you will be required to undertake and pass an in-house driving assessment as part of our pre-employment checks before any offer of appointment can be confirmed.
