Full Job Description
Ardingly College is seeking to recruit a Steward to join the busy Steward team on a part-time basis working two days per week. This role provides essential operational support across the campus, ensuring efficient day-to-day services and a safe, clean, and well-presented campus. Responsibilities include:
- managing incoming mail
- coordinating daily laundry collections and returns
- moving furniture
- maintaining campus cleanliness through regular waste disposal
- undertaking external cleaning tasks such as pressure washing and steam cleaning.
The role supports event and accommodation set-ups, including moving and arranging furniture, staging, equipment, and signage, as well as assisting with parking management during events. We are looking for someone to work 16 hours per week over Thursdays (non-negotiable) and ideally Fridays. Please state your preference on application. Shifts are from 7.30am to 3.45pm and include a 30-minute paid lunch break and unpaid 15-minute break. Salary is £11,190.40 per annum (based on £13.45 per hour) All staff are eligible for complimentary meals when working, have access to onsite gym, pool and other leisure facilities.
