Full Job Description
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Doctor in Urology to join the team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. This full-time post will be based primarily at our new Elective Surgical Hub at King George Hospital, with additional cross-site responsibilities at Queen's Hospital.
The successful applicant will join a motivated and expanding team and will be expected to complement the existing workforce, working closely with clinical and managerial colleagues to support the reduction of waiting lists and the delivery of high-quality core urology and stone services.
There is excellent scope to support clinical innovation, and service development from the successful applicant. The appointee will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, helping to deliver specialist care to a growing population and contributing to the department's academic and clinical reputation through teaching, training, and education., o Under consultant supervision contribute to the clinical care of patients in his/her charge and for the proper functioning of the department.o Deliver a high quality responsive surgical service to the patients who use it within agreed competencieso Be responsible for providing appropriate inpatient cover to patients as appropriate within competence and under supervisiono Undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the running of a clinical department.o Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current surgical practice.o Maintain his/her professional development with all available training opportunities and ensure compliance with mandatory training
