Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Specialist Tutor in Dyslexia, to join our Inclusion Team. You will support our learners to thrive and be naturally learner-centred, with the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • To work within the Additional Support Team to take referrals for support and to design and implement individual support programmes.
  • To work within the Dyslexia team to develop good practice and provide a co-ordinated service to learners with Dyslexia
  • To be involved with individual students at pre-entry to assist in guidance and course selection
  • To assess needs and design support programme, with students and carers/other professionals including use of adaptive technology/LSA's/special exam arrangements and to deliver if requiring specialist teaching.
  • To follow Additional Support practice, e.g. complete TLIPs and Student Track to evidence support receive

    You will hold a L7 SpLD (Dyslexia) qualification and have experience of providing support to learners at all levels and across a range of vocational and academic programmes.
  • You will possess a team orientated focus, which is open and approachable to our learners and their complex and diverse needs. You will have ability to liaise with internal and external professionals to ensure we have the best support in place for our students. Experience within an FE setting is desirable.

  • Competitive salary - £33,742 to £42,182FTE. (This will be pro-rata for part time posts)
