Full Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting young people? Looking to start or develop your career in substance misuse?
The Matthew Project is a value-driven charity working across Norfolk, supporting individuals and communities affected by drugs, alcohol, and mental health challenges.
We are recruiting for our Unity team, which is a partnership between The Matthew Project and Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. This opportunity is open to both experienced practitioners and those who have transferable skills looking to develop a career in substance misuse.
You will be passionate about working with young people, have experience working with young people and an understanding of (or interest in) substance misuse issues. You will be motivated, empathetic, and committed. Training and development will be provided.
You will work with children and young people (under 19 years of age), supporting those vulnerable to substance misuse within the community and in a variety of other settings. The role includes engagement, screening, assessment, and delivering a range of interventions to support positive change.
The role is based in Norwich, covering Norwich, East, and North Norfolk. The ability to travel is essential.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including those with lived experience (not currently in treatment). The role will require the completion of an enhanced DBS process before starting.
