Southwark Cleaning Operative

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Southwark Cleaning Operative, on a 1.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration., The Southwark Cleaning Operative role involves carrying out a wide range of cleaning duties across communal and external areas, maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies, and supporting the council's commitment to high environmental and safety standards., Carry out cleaning duties across council estates, highways and communal areas.
Clean corridors, utility rooms, balconies, entrances, lobbies, refuse stores, lifts, stairwells, landings, store rooms and external areas.
Sweep, damp mop and wet mop hard floors and walkways.
Sweep and clean external areas including pavements, pathways, channels and courtyards.
Scrub internal and external hard surfaces as directed.
Undertake wall washing and high-level cleaning of walls, fixtures, fittings and internal windows.
Essentials

Ability to undertake cleaning duties across internal and external communal areas.
Knowledge of safe working practices and Health & Safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work.
Good communication skills.
