Full Job Description
The Market Porter is a lively pub serving seasonal British dishes and pub classics. We're looking for a passionate Sous Chef to support the Head Chef, lead shifts, and help run the kitchen smoothly., As Sous Chef, you'll be second-in-command, taking responsibility when the Head Chef is away and ensuring consistent quality. You'll also help train junior chefs, manage prep, and maintain kitchen standards.
- Previous experience as a Sous or strong Chef de Partie in a fresh-food kitchen
- Good leadership and organisational skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance
- Enthusiasm for cooking seasonal British pub food
- A positive, can-do approach and team spirit
