Sonographer

The Radiology Department has multiple ultrasound scanners on several sites including The James Cook University Hospital. Friarage Hospital, One Life, Redcar Primary Care, Guisborough and Stockton sites. A weekend service is also provided at James Cook site currently., The leadership and improvement programme aims to:

• Explore leadership within the NHS
• Promote Trust values and behaviours
• Develop your leadership effectiveness and skills
• Equip staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead and complete service improvements within the scope of your role.
After you complete these six and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer a range of additional in-house and externally provided courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a Band 7 Sonographer to work within the fantastic ultrasound team where a variety of work is undertaken. We provide ultrasound scans in the following areas: general, vascular, musculoskeletal, interventional and paediatrics. There will be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley. The successful candidate will join the ultrasound rota for STHFT and work across all ultrasound service sites, including CDC sites. Successful candidates will be an employee of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and managed as per the governance arrangements currently in place for Radiology and the organisation.
