Full Job Description

  • Curate and manage our wine list, ensuring it complements our seasonal menu.
  • Provide expert wine recommendations to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
  • Train and inspire our team to expand their wine knowledge.
  • Oversee wine inventory and ensure proper storage and stock levels.
  • Collaborate with chefs and management to pair wines with our culinary offerings., At the heart of what we do is a commitment to craftsmanship, provenance and authenticity. We work closely with farmers, growers and suppliers who share our values, ensuring that every dish and every drink reflects quality, integrity and care.
    • As we continue to grow, our focus remains the same to create spaces that feel both timeless and contemporary, where guests experience honest food, thoughtful service and a genuine connection to British produce.   • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a high end restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • A deep passion for wine and a desire to share your knowledge.
  • Extensive understanding of global wine regions, varietals, and pairing principles.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certification from a recognized institution (Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with beer, spirits, and cocktails is a plus.

    • Opening in September 2026, The Horses will bring a fresh hospitality offering to Farringdon. Set within a building that has long been part of the local community, the venue will combine a pub atmosphere with exceptional dining, quality drinks, and attentive service across multiple floors. We are building a team that prides itself on delivering authentic hospitality, who are collaborative and create a genuinely warm, welcoming environment for every guest.   • Salary - 13.00 - 14.00 + Service charge (Earn an extra 4 - 6 per hour)
