DESCRIPTIONThe AGI Information team make the world's information accessible for AI models and customers everywhere. Our team works closely with science teams to build, productionize and scale ML models in order to learn what customers like and are interested in, so we can better personalize experiences in Amazon products such as Alexa.Key job responsibilities
- Directly hire, retain, and grow top engineering talent.
- Be a clear technical voice, working in partnership with your teams and management to deliver scalable customer experiences in AGI
- Quickly and reliably deliver high quality technical solutions that will delight our customers
- Work on business strategy to define product roadmaps and execution plans as needed
- Meet with stakeholders and adapt the roadmap in an agile fashion
- Communicate clearly to leadership the risks, successes, and roadblocks as part of your product execution
Work with teams of applied scientists on productionizing ML models.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience in engineering team management
- Experience in engineering
- Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services
- Experience working directly within engineering teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience partnering with product and program management teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineersAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
