We are working closely with local authority in Central Bedfordshire to assist with the appointment of a Social Worker, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.,
- Manage a varied and complex caseload involving children, young people, and families.
- Undertake Child in Need, Child Protection, and Court work in line with statutory requirements.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and high-quality reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and assessments.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Promote safeguarding, child welfare, and early intervention practices.
Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking experienced and dedicated Social Workers to join the Children Services Locality Team within the Family Help service. The role focuses on delivering high-quality social work interventions that safeguard children, strengthen families, and improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people. This role requires a passionate practitioner with strong assessment, safeguarding, and court work experience who is committed to delivering child-centred practice and achieving positive change for children and families., Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification. - Registration with Social Work England.
- Minimum five years post-qualifying experience within Children Services.
- Proven ability to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport where required.
