An opportunity has arisen within the Derbyshire Dales Mental Health social work Team for a qualified and committed Social Worker.
The team works with people with mental health difficulties from the age of 16 upwards. You will require good working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005, as you will be assessing clients care needs, and working with them and their support networks to create strengths based support plans. You will need knowledge of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation. Using person centred, strengths-based approaches you will be supporting people to live as independently as possible.
A good working knowledge of Safeguarding is also essential and confidence in decision making and risk management.
Being a qualified AMHP would be an advantage although not essential and there will be the opportunity to complete AMHP training as part of the role. The position will be working out of County Hall Matlock.

We are continuing to offer a hybrid approach to working, and our team is currently working from home and from the office based on the needs of the service. Ward visits are required for this position.
