Social Worker

Our support and safeguarding teams are nurturing and supportive with their own unique identities. They cover a large diverse county with several offices across Northamptonshire including; Northampton, Daventry, Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough.

These teams support children and young people who are subject to a Child Protection Plan, Child in Need plan and, if appropriate, court proceedings. This kind of social work often takes place over several months and involves regular visits with families.

Focussed on positive outcomes, they work in challenging yet supportive and collaborative ways.

Working alongside other professionals, the team help put together plans to reduce the risks and areas of unmet needs to help children/ young people to remain with their families when it is safe to do so.

Providing practical and social work support for children and families.
This involves holding complex caseload, undertaking assessments, visiting children and their families, carrying out interventions, reviewing the work undertaken, direct work with children and families and any other work identified as necessary.
All this must be based on best evidence and good practice, privileging the best interests of children and young people.

To deliver and provide social work services, at a level appropriate for a professionally qualified post, to children and families to ensure the welfare of children and young people is safeguarded and they are protected in accordance with the legal and statutory obligations of Northamptonshire Children's Trust.If you thrive to make a difference and have 3 years Social worker experience and this is the role for you, then we would love to hear from you
