It's an exciting time at AXA Health, with significant investment planned to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. As part of this, we're looking for a talented individual to join our highly successful SME broker new business sales team on a permanent basis. As an SME Sales Consultant, you're someone who will help grow the relationship between AXA Health and our Key Intermediaries. You'll know how important it is to get it right for stakeholders. In this role, you'll utilise our core product range to sell AXA Health through our brokers to the SME PMI market, ensuring profitable growth and establishing professional relationships with all intermediary personnel- using every opportunity to promote other AXA Health products. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:

  • Working closely with your broker panel to ensure the achievement of the new business target, through regular and ongoing dialogue, building and developing relationships in conjunction with the Intermediary Relationship Manager and chasing every opportunity to maximise results.
  • Delivering exceptional service to your brokers in relation to call handling, ensuring that all monthly call targets are met and prioritizing new business chasing calls to deliver to the sales targets.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of existing products including all bespoke team products, core PMI products, non-PMI products and the various pricing mechanisms used when pricing all PMI groups schemes., We acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional efforts of our people in protecting what matters most to our customers.   • The ability to take a pro-active approach to sales and developing broker relationships plus the ability to make the most of every sales opportunity.
  • The ability to communicate at all levels with internal and external customers.
  • To be well organised and manage your own time effectively and to be able to work under pressure.
  • Up to date knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues and the experience of working in a regulated industry.
  • Working to targets and the ability to demonstrate a goal focused approach.
  • To have experience working with business process and protocols.
  • PMI knowledge will be highly beneficial in this role.
  • To be PC competent in Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point.

    This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
