Service Advisor

We offer a brilliant used car line-up, fantastic value and an easy-to-access location in Anchorage Park. We're a short drive from Portsmouth town centre or a 10-minute walk from Hilsea train station. In this role, you will support the after sales department, delivering excellent in-person customer service to our new and repeat customers. To be sucessful in this role, you will need to demonstrate previous experience of dealing with the public, alongside ideally a background in the automotive industry. This role offers a 45 hours per week contract, working Monday to Friday (8.00 am to 5.30 pm). The Opportunity: As a Service Advisor you will be the first point of contact for customers bringing their vehicle in for a service. In this role you will be:

• Meeting and greeting customers;
• Booking vehicles into the diary;
• Ensuring the customer database is updated and accurate;
• Support the profitability of the service department by using trained and professional sales techniques;
• Ensuring customers are familiar with the variety of workshop services;
• Accurately recording vehicle faults;
• Liaising with the service technicians to keep track of vehicles progress and ensuring the vehicle is ready for customer collection on time;
• Obtaining authority and payments for repairs.
  
  You will have effective communication skills (verbal and written) in order to professionally interact with customers (face to face and over the phone);
• Excellent organisation skills;
• Able to manage your time effectively to prioritise your workload and meet tight deadlines;
• Self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic.
• A good standard of verbal and numerical reasoning;
• Core skills in computing (essential), including web systems, email and use of excel, with a keen eye for detail;
• Previous experience in a target driven role (desirable but not essential);
• Experience with CDK (desirable but not essential);
• A full UK driving licence.
