Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Drama Assistant to spend a year gaining first hand experience working in our passionate and creative Senior School Drama Department.
The Senior School Drama Department and our exceptionally talented pupils are known throughout the community for creating outstanding performances that are not only highly entertaining, but professional in their execution.
The Drama Assistant will work creatively with the drama team and pupils on devised and scripted productions, as well as supporting GCSE and A Level Drama students. There is an expectation of basic technical knowledge and some experience with lighting, sound and tech. Flexibility is essential, as some evening, week-end rehearsal and production work is required.
This is an exciting time to join: an opportunity to work with the Drama Department, the Head of the College and the rest of the community to implement an exciting new vision for the future of Bishop's Stortford College.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A copy of the College's Child Protection Policy is available on the website.
Bishop's Stortford College is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; all employees are subject to a number of pre-employment and safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check. References and an online search will be undertaken prior to interview. To this end, robust Safeguarding processes and procedures are in place to support families, pupils, staff, and volunteers. In compliance with the sharing of information guidance/best practice, any concerns are passed to designated teachers, trained in Safeguarding.
