Wave Dynamics Acoustic Consultants ( are seeking a Senior or Principal Acoustic Consultant with a strong background in building acoustics to join our growing team. This role is UK-based, supporting projects across both the UK and Ireland.This is an opportunity for an experienced consultant to take on a technical leadership role, contributing to the delivery of high-quality building acoustics work while supporting business growth and shaping the future direction of the company.

The OpportunityThis role is suited to an experienced consultant (6-10+ years' experience) looking to:Lead technically complex building acoustics projectsTake ownership of client relationshipsPlay a key role in a growing consultancy with clear progression to senior leadership
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage building acoustics projects from concept through completionDeliver detailed design advice on:Sound insulation (Part E / TGD-E compliance)Internal ambient noiseBuilding services noise and vibrationRoom acoustics (where relevant)Undertake and oversee:Acoustic modelling (e.g. INSUL, Odeon, EASE)Sound insulation testing and reportingTechnical calculations in line with ISO / BS standardsProvide clear, practical advice to architects, developers, and contractorsSupport and mentor junior staff in technical delivery and reportingContribute to business development, including proposal preparation and client engagementMaintain high-quality, report-ready technical outputsMinimum RequirementsStrong experience in building acoustics consultancy with a proven project track recordSolid understanding of:Part E / TGD-EBS and ISO acoustic standardsAcoustic design for residential and mixed-use developmentsExperience with:INSUL, SoundPlan (or equivalent), and room
