Full Job Description
Working closely with our clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals the successful candidate will help provide a quality medicines management service to wards across the Trust, supporting medicines optimisation.,
- Medicines reconciliation Assessing the suitability of patients' own drugs for use, Ordering named patient medication Counselling patients about their medicines Co-ordinating supply of discharge medicines Supporting audit and quality improvement initiatives. The post holder will be required to help support the training and staff development of a range of staff including pre-registration trainees pharmacy technicians, pharmacy technicians and pharmacists. There will be regular dispensary slots which will include final accuracy checking.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
