Your style and approach will reflect our values: you will be passionate about what you do always striving to improve things; valuing and respecting others' contribution, you will work together to deliver a better service; you will take pride in always getting things right first time and learn from when things do go wrong; you will enjoy taking personal responsibility to resolve issues and change what you do and how you do it to make a difference., The successful candidate will form part of the Energy Management Team who are responsible for overseeing the Building Energy Management Systems, utility contracts and ensuring compliance with energy regulations (such as DECs and EPCs), with a focus on reducing carbon emissions across the corporate, leisure and school estates. The position will have a key role in the management of the BEMS and the Council's utilities using Energy Monitoring and Targeting software, Systems Link. The post will report to the Energy Manager and support in delivering real change through a range of carbon reduction initiatives, from energy audits through to the project management of installation of renewable and low carbon technologies.
Apart from the ability to carry out detailed technical surveys and feasibility studies, report writing, and presentations would form key elements of the role, combined with a requirement to be able to undertake detailed analysis of data and survey findings, for example.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months' salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
