Full Job Description

Our unit provides specialist care for children aged 0-16 living with Cystic Fibrosis, supporting them through every stage of their journey, including a smooth transition to adult services beyond age 16. We pride ourselves on delivering family-centred care in close partnership with parents, carers, and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, and admin coordinators., Reporting into the Ward or Department Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist qualified staff in delivering clinical care to children and young people
  • Support direct admissions and discharges from the theatre department, helping improve patient flow and access to care
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, undertaking delegated tasks with appropriate supervision
  • Help patients maintain their daily living activities
  • Carry out basic administrative and housekeeping duties to support the wider service
  • This is a Trust-wide role, and additional training will be provided to meet the specific competencies required within your clinical speciality.

We're looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational abilities who thrives in a collaborative team environment.,
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Current or recent experience in a health or social care setting, ideally working with children, young people, and families
  • Competence in venepuncture or willingness to undertake training
