As part of our continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for an SEN Teacher to join our Special School. Our School is extremely successful and employs a range of dynamic teaching methods and is committed to innovative curriculum development and its practices put it at the forefront of learning. As a qualified, dynamic and motivated teacher, you will bring a genuine passion for making a positive impact in pupils' lives. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to fulfil that ambition by supporting students with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs, empowering them to thrive and ensuring that they are fully prepared and supported for life beyond education. You will design and deliver engaging lessons each day using creative and innovative teaching strategies that spark curiosity and enthusiasm in the classroom. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

The Westminster School is a Special School in Rowley Regis which currently caters for 275 pupils aged 7 to 19 years with moderate learning disabilities plus additional needs. The Westminster School takes great pride in being able to deliver an innovative child-centred curriculum. The school's curriculum is focused around 6 holistic areas: My Communication, My Community, My Care and Independence, My Creativity, My Thinking, My Wellbeing. Traditionally the education system required the child needed to fit into the curriculum, at The Westminster School the curriculum wraps around the young person meeting them at the point of need. Our work on supported internships and supported apprenticeships for students with learning disabilities are at the forefront of national developments. We moved to our new site in February 2011. The School was purpose built. Most ground floor classrooms have access to outside spaces, incorporating Learning Outside the Classroom into our enriched curriculum. Main Teacher Pay Range to Upper Teacher Pay Range - £32,916 - £51,048 p.a plus SEN Allowance, Our school is a safe, happy and learning environment in which everyone is encouraged to achieve their full potential through high aspirations and a wealth of opportunities and experiences.
