Full Job Description
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Crosby is seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs within the classroom.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a supportive educational environment.
You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech & Language needs
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
- Learning difficulties and behavioural needs
Responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting pupils with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
- Assisting with classroom activities and differentiated learning
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Supporting behaviour management strategies
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN is essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Right to work in the UK
- References covering the last 2 years
- Competitive daily pay of £102 - £115 per day
